Recipe for Aloo Masala / Potato Sandwich
Recipe type: Veg
Cuisine:  Indian
Serves: 3 to 4 (approximately)

Bread - 8 to 10 (Here I have used brown bread)
Potato - 1 large one
Onion - 1 medium sized(finely chopped)
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
Garam masala powder /
Chat masala - ¼ tsp
Corriander leaves - few(chopped)

Butter -  to apply on bread

Pressure cook the Potatoes until it becomes soft ,mash it; keep aside.

Take a bowl, add mashed potatoes, onion, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder / chat masala, corriander leaves and salt.

Mix it well and keep aside.

Apply tomato sauce on both slice of the bread.  Spread the potato mixture on one of that and cover it with the another slice.  (You can also add grated cheese on top of the potato mixture)

Spread butter on top of the bread and close the grill.

Grill the sandwich till it becomes golden brown in colour, it will take about 2 to 4 minutes.

Cut the sandwich into half and it is ready to serve.

You can also add finely chopped green chillies.

Instead of tomato ketchup, you can try green chutney.

You can also prepare this sandwich in tawa.
