Radish Mutton Gravy / Radish Mutton Kulambu/ Mullangi Kari Kulambu

This is a lip smacking mutton gravy with Radish and full of South Indian flavors.  It goes well with steamed rice, idli, dosa and appam.

Try this spicy, mouthwatering gravy for this Sunday!

Recipe for Radish mutton gravy
Recipe type: Main course
Cuisine: South Indian
Serves: 4 (approximately)

Ingredients:
Mutton (bone - in) - ½ kg (clean and cut into medium sized pieces)
Small onion - 10 (slit it into two pieces)
Tomato - 1 (finely chopped)
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Red chilli powder - 1½ to 2 tsp
Corriander powder - 4 tsp


To Grind:
Pepper - ½ tsp
Cumin seeds - ¼ tsp
Saunf - ½ tsp
Ginger - 1' piece
Garlic - 5 to 6 cloves


For Coconut paste:

Coconut - ¼ cup

For Seasoning:
Cinnamon -1
Cloves - 3 or 4
Cardmom - 2
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Oil - 2 tbsp

Aatukal Paya (Goat Leg curry) - Amma's special

Aatukal paya is made of lamb or goat's leg often referred for people having cold or flu; it is also helpful to increase bone strength, heal wounds, cure mineral deficiency.

It is one of the popular delicacies among non-vegetarians especially in South India.

Though nutritious; moderation is recommended in consumption because of its high fat content!

Thalakari Kulambu / Lamb Head Curry

Lamb head / Thala curry is one of the most delicious spicy curry; a perfect treat for non - veg lovers.



Ingredients:

Lamb head- 1 cleaned and cut into medium sized pieces
Onion - 1( finely chopped)
Tomato- 1(finely chopped)
Ginger garlic paste- 2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder- 2 tsp

To grind:

Grated coconut- ½ cup
Fennel seed ( sombu) - ½ tsp
Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
Pepper - 1 tsp
Roasted channa dhal (pottukkadalai) / Cashew nuts --1 tbsp

For seasoning:
Cinnamon -1
Cloves - 3 or 4
Cardamom - 2
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Fennel seeds - ¼ tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
